Blister-Free by Madico

Blister Free architectural film is specifically designed to prevent bubbles or delamination on acrylic, polycarbonate, and other plastic surfaces. It is commonly used as a base film under solar control films to increase performance of windows, partitions, and skylights.
Blister Free offers a proprietary adhesive that is not affected by the absorption and release of moisture.
When used in conjunction with solar control film, Blister-Free allows you to achieve the benefits of
-
UV light protection
-
Minimized heat transfer
-
Reduced fading
-
Added privacy on substrates other than traditional glass
When layered with safety film, Blister Free increases safety and security by holding together fragments should the panel break.
Common applications include
-
Skylights
-
Sunrooms
-
Bus shelters
-
Acrylic windows in schools, hospitals, and treatment facilities
Barrier Against Graffiti, Scratches and More
Plastic Surface Protection
Interior acrylic partitions can also benefit from the application of Blister Free film under a decorative film to create privacy and add attractive design elements to otherwise non-descript spaces in offices, stores, and customer waiting areas.
For plexiglass applications, a blister-free base film is first applied to create a stable surface. A standard window film can then be installed over this layer, preventing adhesive reactions and ensuring a clean, durable finish. While effective, this two-step process does involve higher costs than standard installations. All films are applied from the interior side of the glass.
On curved surfaces, film applications can be more challenging and may require splicing to achieve proper alignment. For this reason, a site inspection by a professional installer is recommended to confirm feasibility and determine the most suitable installation method.
