ETEKT + Low-E Detector Meter

The ETEKT+ is the trusted industry standard for identifying invisible Low-E coatings on insulated glass (IG) units through a precise, non-destructive test. For more than 30 years, glaziers around the world have relied on it to confidently assess glass before recommending safe solar film applications. The latest AE1601 model—the third-generation ETEKT+—offers enhanced reliability and improved temperature stability while maintaining the proven features professionals depend on.

The IMPROVED ETEKT + Low-E Coating Detector allows you to:

  • Verify the presence and placement of invisible Low-E coatings on double-pane insulated glass units quickly and accurately with a simple one-sided test. Triple-pane windows can also be checked by testing from both sides. During manufacturing, this helps confirm the coated surface is properly oriented to prevent damage from glasswasher brushes. It also allows installers to demonstrate to customers that their energy-efficient Low-E glass is installed as promised before the window is put in place.

Enforcer II Tint Meter

The updated Enforcer II is more compact and lightweight than previous models—about one-third the size and one-fifth the weight. It features automatic calibration and is powered by an included CR2032 3V coin cell battery, which typically lasts for around 100 uses. The redesigned interior switch includes protective foam for added durability. Like all Laser Labs, Inc. tint meters, it delivers readings accurate to within ±2%, is unaffected by humidity, and performs reliably in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 100°F, day or night. To use it on roll-down windows, simply slide the device over the glass and wait about four seconds for the measurement.

Tint-Chek Window Tint Meter TC1800

The TC1800 measures Visible Light Transmission (VLT) in automotive glass and can also test glass or film materials up to 1/4" (6.5 mm) thick. Built with durable, high-quality components, it is designed for long-term performance and reliability.

Its no-moving-parts design increases durability and allows glass to be inserted from any direction without risking scratches or damage to switches. The TC1800 provides fast, real-time readings and locks onto a single accurate result without value drift. It also features an automatic shut-off after periods of inactivity to preserve battery life.

Using patent-pending technology, the TC1800 minimizes the effects of changing ambient light for consistent accuracy in various environments. Its slim, pocket-sized design makes it easy to carry and convenient to use around tight vehicle window edges.
